Becky's Road Racer

BUILD. TRAIN. RACE.

B.T.R. is a program Royal Enfield created calling out female motorcyclists to customize, train and road race Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 motorcycles in 2021.

BUILD: Get a bike from Royal Enfield and make it into a Road Race bike.

TRAIN: Attend 2 training sessions at tracks around America with coaches and the program mentor - the legendary Melissa Paris.

RACE: Race 3 Moto America Races on live television.

Becky aka @actuallyitsaxel is one of our homies and we were stoked to hear when she was one of the 7 girls that were chosen. She needed a workspace to build here bike so we were more than happy to oblige.

When asked why Becky was keen on being part of the BTR program she responded...

“I don’t know what the heck I just got myself into but I am excited! I closely watched last years Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. Program and thought it was an awesome idea to get women on bikes in these race realms and now I’m going to do it as well! I have absolute NO experience with racing or even off-road motorcycling in any regards so I am seeing this as an opportunity to progress my riding and meet new badass women who are willing to get out there and try something new – that’s what life is all about!”

You can follow her adventures, on Instagram.

For the next 4 months Becky ripped the motorcycle completely apart. She hit up every brand she knew who made parts for this style of bike and researched what was needed to make a bike “road racing” legit, all while we watched from a distance.
