RACE 1 RECAP

Jake Lewis Goes Back-to-Back with Thrilling Win at Road Atlanta

Road Atlanta played host to a dramatic round of the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship, where Jake Lewis put on a masterclass of aggressive riding and racecraft to take his second win in a row, edging out teammate and defending champion Cory West in a last-lap showdown.

A Stacked Grid and Lightning Start

From the drop of the lights, it was clear this was going to be a dogfight. Lewis launched from pole position with Cory West and Cody Wyman hot on his tail. The first few corners were packed with action as the front-runners jostled for position while trying to break away from the chasing pack.

James Rispoli (aka "Spoley") made an early charge from sixth to fourth, proving he had the pace to mix it up with the leaders. But it was Jake Lewis who stayed calm and hammered down early, building a gap in an attempt to escape the draft-heavy battlefield behind him.

Mid-Race Drama: Red Flag Resets the Field

Just as the top five began to settle into a rhythm, disaster struck further down the order with a crash that brought out the red flag, forcing a full restart. While Hunter Dunham and Cory Alexander managed to avoid the chaos, Alexander’s Arch Motorcycle team continued to struggle with reliability issues.

Reset and Reload: Five-Lap Shootout

The race restarted as a five-lap sprint, and again it was Jake Lewis who got the holeshot, sweeping around the outside of West. Rispoli once again charged hard, but mechanical issues would sideline him midway, ending what looked like a promising run.

Meanwhile, Hayden Schulz dropped back with a visible issue, leaving the podium fight to Lewis, West, and Wyman.

Final Lap Fireworks

In the closing laps, West and Lewis pulled away from the field, riding in a league of their own. West briefly snatched the lead with a perfectly timed draft move, but Lewis wasn’t done. On the final lap, he timed his return attack to perfection, used his taller frame to tuck and slingshot past under the bridge, and held off West by a hair at the line.

Podium Finishers and Points Picture

🏆 Jake Lewis – 1st

🏆 Cory West – 2nd

🏆 Cody Wyman – 3rd

Just behind, Dominic Doyle put together a solid ride to finish fourth.

With the win, Lewis now sits just four points behind Cory West in the championship standings, tightening the battle at the top. Travis Wyman and Cody Wyman remain close behind, while Rispoli will be looking to bounce back in the next round.

Lewis on the Win:

"Man, this whole crew has worked so hard. Huge shout out to Ricky, Maddie, Eric, Wes at Harley, and everyone else who’s supported me. Bell Helmets, Mission Foods, Motul, Drag Specialties—thank you. I just missed a little something after the red flag, but we pulled it together. Can’t wait for tomorrow."

RACE 2 RECAP

Jake Lewis Goes Back-to-Back with Commanding Win in Race 2 at Road Atlanta

The second race of the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship at Road Atlanta delivered more drama, shakeups, and standout performances, but one thing stayed the same—Jake Lewis dominated once again.

As the lights went out for the six-lap sprint, Lewis wasted no time taking control of the front. With a clean getaway from the front row, he quickly pulled a gap on the field, just like he did in Race 1. His teammate and championship leader Cory West slotted in behind, but disaster struck early. West made a mistake that triggered a chain reaction, collecting James Rispoli and Hayden Schultz in the process. All three lost precious time, and West was forced to retire from the race.

With West out, Cody Wyman and Travis Wyman found themselves in podium contention. Cody locked into a solid rhythm, running second and keeping the gap to Lewis manageable, but never quite close enough to challenge. Travis, despite admitting he’d been struggling all weekend, found just enough pace—and a little bit of luck—to land on the podium in third.

Behind the front three, Jason Waters on a Triumph had a strong showing to finish fourth, followed by Dominic Doyle, Hunter Dunham, and a fierce mid-pack battle that kept things spicy all the way to the checkered flag.

Post-race, Lewis admitted leading flag-to-flag wasn’t exactly thrilling from the seat:

“Honestly, it was kind of boring,” he said with a grin. “No last-lap drama, I didn’t even hear anyone behind me by the second lap.”

Cody Wyman celebrated his improvement from Race 1, and Travis Wyman—grateful for the result—remained humble:

“I’ve been struggling all weekend… I didn’t deserve to be up here, but I’ll take it.”

Championship Implications

Despite his DNF, Cory West still leads the standings, but Jake Lewis is now just a handful of points behind, with Travis and Cody Wyman close in pursuit. With the series heating up, the Mission Super Hooligans are proving once again that anything can happen in six wild laps.

🏆 Championship Shake-Up

Despite his crash, Cory West still leads the points standings, but Jake Lewis has closed the gap dramatically. Cody and Travis Wyman aren’t far behind either, setting up what promises to be a fierce fight as the season continues.

🎙️ Jake Lewis on the win:

“Honestly, it was kind of boring. No last-lap scrap, no drama—I just hit my marks and brought it home.”
