RSD BMW R Nine T Whale Shark

Our stock style BMW NineT continues to evolve with the addition of a paint job and some cast bronze RSD logo’s for the gas tank by local artist and creative Nick Potasch. We consider this bike to be a test bed for ideas and product development so we’ve made an oath not to cut anything off it or modify it past what an averages set of tools would allow you to do. The cool thing about the bike is it continues to feel like a blank canvas. Were already thinking about the next iteration.

We've customized a ninet ourselves using all the upcoming RSD products. View our BMW parts preview page HERE! The bike has undergone a few more changes and we'll be introducing the modified bike at Bmw motorcycle days in Garmisch this weekend. Be sure to check back for the final bike reveal!

This bike is a great example of what light weight customization can accomplish with the right RSD parts and some powder coating.

We’ve been in talks with BMW about the NineT for quite some time. You may remember a little orange bike we built called the Concept Ninety, that bike started off life as a NineT. Now things have come full circle and the NineT is finally being released to public. The Nine T is a great machine and marks BMW’s return to a more stylish, soul driven machine, differing greatly from BMW’s current offering.

The Air Cooled parallel twin from the old GS is as reliable as they come. Upside down forks, radial brakes a comfortable riding position as well as an easily customizable package all make the Nine T a bike worth taking seriously. We’ve been messing with one ourselves and should have something to show you soon. Stay tuned for the US release coming soon.

In close collaboration with the BMW Motorrad design team, we assembled the exclusive parts of the "Concept 101". BMW Motorrad and the custom bike specialist have worked together successfully for several years, having completed inspiring projects such as the Concept Ninety, for example. Our familiarity with the scene and and history offered by BMW Motorrad make for an exciting partnership. We put together the many parts of the BMW Motorrad "Concept 101", elaborately producing individual elements exclusively by hand. As a result, signature machine parts such as the clutch cover, timing chain cover and wheels all bear the RSD logo, discreetly bearing witness to a collaboration that has proved successful for many years. The material finish and technical design are state-of-the-art, thereby reflecting in detail the fundamental BMW Motorrad statement: precision and emotion.

BMW’s have traditionally been a function based machine. With the RnineT, BMW has captured the hearts of not only BMW customers, but also those who are looking for a customizable and fully functional bike with soul.
