Sturgis was a blast. Finishing up the GEICO, Indian, Buffalo Chip 75th anniversary bike at the absolute last moment to make it out to Sturgis was stressful but once we got to the event, it was all to the good.
Moto Shed opened up to the public at the City Park for the first time on Saturday and we threw the first Built for the Ride bike show with some amazing bikes in attendance.
Tuesday’s AMA Pro Half Mile was a huge opportunity to show the Pro Racing world what the Hooligan side of dirt racing can bring to the crowd. With a stocked field of Hooligan regulars we put on a show and opened up some eyes to the value of streetable flat trackers going head to head at the limit. We also got an opportunity to hang out with Shanya Texter pro female AMA flat track rider and RSD sponsored athlete.
Sunday we introduced the GEICO bike to the industry at Michael Lichters Naked Truth Show. Naked Truth was an amazing show and the perfect venue to show of our Born Free TZRD. After the Industry Party at Naked Truth we headed to the main stage at the Buffalo Chip to introduce the GEICO bike to the world in front of 30,000 tuned up bike fans.
In between all the events we did have some time to ride and thrash our bikes. we took a few hours to rip the back roads and get around all the traffic. It was the perfect excuse to get some practice in on our dirt slider bikes prior to the AMA flat track Hooligan Demo at the Rapid City Half Mile.
We really want to thank everyone who welcomed us, partnered with us and came out for our events to make this an epic Sturgis. Thank you!!!
