We came, we saw, we tore up some ass…phalt. When the Super Hooligans head to Vegas you can be sure there will be a wake of wild times left behind and as much as that’s no different from any other event the SHNC hits, it’s always a little wilder when you hit sin city.
The team spent the first few days of the Mint on Freemont street where the #senders only crew put on multiple stunt shows at the infamous Lama lot for race fans and vegas locals. After the Eagles of Death metal hit the stage the SHNC wrapped up and headed back to Primm to set up for the Super Hooligan National #2.
The Asphalt oval proved to both a fun and challenging test for the 50 plus Hooligan and Super Hooligan riders in attendance. The amount of traction and consistency was a pleasant surprise for asphalt virgins and seasoned road racers alike. The level was once again pushed to the limits with all the Hooligan riders brining their A game.
The SHNC main was a barn burner with taking the early lead followed by Tony Alves and the kid… with Frankie Garcia Senior in front of his kid Frankie Jr and Jordan Graham. An early incident had Frankie Senior laying it down pushing Jordan Graham out wide and allowing Frankie Jr into 3rd.
Up front it was a nasty battle for second with Alves and the kid banging bars and changing positions lap after lap. Around lap five Alves missed a shift coming out of three and that was all it took for Garcia Jr. and three others to put Alves back a few spots. But Alves was having non of it bulldogging his way back through the pack to take a last lap last ditch pass under the kid for second place not too far behind Scooter dude in 1st.
