Description
One of the coolest features of the Old Ironhead and K-Model Sportsters was the tiny 2.4 gallon peanut tank that has become and icon of Harley History. These new tanks are designed to replicate the smaller tanks on the early Ironheads and give you a faithful recreation for all Sportsters, from vingate Ironheads to brand new Fuel-Injected Roadsters. Whether you just want that oldschool look or want to shave some weight off your race bike, these tanks, with a little prep-work, are ready to transform the look of your Sportster.
Features:
- Steel construction
- Rolled bottom
- 2.4 gallon capacity
- Accepts Harley-Style gas cap (not included)
- Fuel pump and gasket not included for fuel injected models
- Fuel Petcock not inlucded for carburetted models
Note: For EFI models, existing fuel pump gasket can be reused. Carburetted models can reuse stock fuel petcock. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. The tank requires sanding and primer. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. Clean the inside of the tank. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion.
