They run small. I normally wear an XL (6-5, 225), but I sized up to a 2X to make room for layers and an air vest. The 2x was too tight, so I traded it for a 3X and that works.
I picked this one because of abrasion resistance. Full-grain buffalo leather is about the best you can get, and the material and construction is very similar to the jackets that are 4 and 5 stars in the MotoCap ratings.
I also picked this one for the vents. They are very effective, and I rode in multistate trips from 30-85F so far and it is incredibly comfortable.
The hide is leather-smelly and it still hasn't worn away yet. My wife says keep it in the garage.
It is rugged, windproof and feels good to wear. It's a winner!
Buffalo 🦬 AA certified looks smooth now I can go down in style and confidence! And the Indian FTR you designed amazing bike I got one wow just a great local designer
This is my third RSD leather jacket. My first was the Ronin in Oxblood. The leather was premium, soft and supple and the jacket quality was top notch. However, I sized up to a 3X and it was way too big. I kept the jacket anyway since it was such nice quality and just ride with a hoody underneath it. The Linden 74 is like it’s from a cheap company. The leather is hard and rigid. The fit is really small. I ordered a 2X this time and the sleeves are 2-3” too short. It’s like a Chinese fit where a 2X is really an American Large. I just don’t like this jacket at all. The collar snap digs into my neck, the leather sucks, the jacket is short in length. Super disappointing because I love the Ronin. And I can’t return it of course because I got it on sale. So I’ll just gift it to a short (sub 5’6”) friend. I’m 6’ 228lbs.
Great jacket. Nice material and the fit feels great, even with movement. I only wish the back protector pocket was larger…it’s too small to place a protector that will cover a lot of area. I guess it’s designed only for the RSD armor, which is a little small and CE1 rated with no CE2 option. I’m going to keep the jacket and take it to a tailor to get a bigger pocket made. Aside from that and the extra costs, i’m pretty happy with it
This Jacket is Amazing, It is heavy (+3kg aprox) compared to regular jacket, but once you put it on, barely notices it. Exceptional quality, you definitely feel safer wearing it. Read a lot of reviews before buying as it seemed to run small, I normally wear XL but decided to size up and it fits great, plenty of room and looks kinda vintage... if you wear it with the thermal liner it feels smoother and like tailored, without the thermal liner you might feel it a bit bigger.. so, sizing up will depend on preferred style if you have an average body type, not super muscular or thin. Leather is soft, it needs breaking in but due to the leather thickness I don't expect to get soft as a regular non-motorcycle jacket.. you can wearing it even if you are not riding as it doesn't seem to be exclusive for this. Ventilation works fantastic, I've rode in 70-75 F conditions, without Thermal Liner, and zero issues, always felt cool. It is also great as a Windbreaker when riding on the highway. I'll be wearing it with the thermal liner for now as it feels smoother and weather is getting colder these coming months. This is a must have jacket, fits and looks great!
