Insanely underrated. Buy once, cry once.

Short version:
Great non leather SoCal Fall/Winter jacket for Vtwins/cafe’s/ADV’s. Timeless style. Practical details with tons of pockets. Underrated for sure.

I’ll start by saying I’ve been looking for a solid Los Angeles WINTER jacket for almost A YEAR (our winter riding hovers high 40’s-50’s F, so it feels 30 degrees on the bike sometimes with coastal riding). Maybe something for those cooler LA nights out on the town.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Aesthetics
I’m a one and done sorta person. I don’t want 4 motorcycle jackets, I want maybe 2 for the entire year (for living in SoCal). I wanted it to match my bike aesthetics: vtwins, cafe’s, and even ADV, hell, maybe even a Neo retro. Something that matches a classic retro helmet or a Bell Moto 3. It needed to look good on and off the bike and not be so bulky that I felt like I was a knight carrying around clunky, rusty armor. Feels like I’ll be wearing this thing forever.

2. Warmth
I’m on a motorcycle 90% of the time, and in winter, a jacket has to block the wind and keep the heat in. Whatever blend of materials this is, it’s definitely high quality. If you like the look of a waxed jacket, but want less maintenance, this seems like the way to go. I’m on the skinnier side, so I get cold easily. I’ve been wearing a full sleeve work shirt and a thin puff jacket or insulated layer underneath and that seems to keep me fine at 40’s/50’s F (airflow on a naked bike feels like 30’s/40’s F at speed). Long sleeves at 27 inches that narrow at the wrists with buttons, so it’ll cover your wrists and then some to minimize frigid air. If you’ve got one of those under layers with thumbhole sleeves, that’s even better. There’s no air vents on this, so obviously not a SoCal summer jacket, but fall and winter seems to fit the bill. Works for me because I wear it at work in a 50-60 degree

3. Fit/Comfort/Safety
Best looking jacket I’ve had. If you get a chance to see it in person, you’ll know what I mean. Photos aren’t doing it justice. Solid lines, cuts, and stitching. Slimmer fit, not too boxy for size small. I’m more on the fit side, so this is a good look. It’s utilitarian looking, tons of practical pockets (I think waterproof, don’t quote me), and It’s not as heavy as Kevlar, at 600D Cordura, so probably not same abrasion resistance, but more flexible and comfortable on and off the bike. It feels tough but not too heavy. I am such a fan of the sleeve length (long arms over here), they go slightly over my gloves, so no open gaps for cold riding at the wrists. Do your measurements! This personally fits me perfectly on a size small jacket.

4. Value
I got mine at 40% off, and damn, it’s a steal. I live close enough to the RSD shop in Long Beach (damn cool spot btw), so I was able to try it on and match with gloves, etc.. I hope they continue to make stuff like this.
*RSD note: love you guys, but market this stuff better because I think this jacket is really underrated. If I were you, drop like 10 videos about the details of your garments: fit from head to toe, on the bike, off the bike, various weather conditions, various body types and fits, motorcycles they could pair well with. Seriously, I just don’t think people know enough about the details and how intricate and detailed they can be.
